Drew Marler is a lifelong musician and has been a proud Charleston transplant from Athens, Georgia for over a decade. With an extensive multi-genre music catalog, and inter-generational, timeless sound, he has become a favorite full time Lowcountry musician and entertainer. His musical sound is an amalgam of lifetime musical influences; blues, jazz, bluegrass, rock n roll, R &B, and Motown, all packaged with soulful vocals and accomplished acoustic, slide dobro guitar talent with a harmonica accompaniment. Working with producer Chris Dodson at Scouts Alley Studio, Drew will soon be releasing his highly anticipated 5 song EP and Charleston debut titled, “High Times in the Lowcountry.” Whether you’re wanting to hear his newest song craft or just want to be entertained by someone who loves to share the power and unity of music, Drew Marler’s music is an excellent way to provide festive, foot tapping, personable, and professional entertainment for any event.
ABOUT
Drew currently resides in Summerville, SC, and entertains in the Charleston area, Beaufort, Hilton Head, and Savannah as well. He is married to a talented musician who is a drummer, teacher, and music therapist, Shannon. Together they have a child named Walker on the autism spectrum who is passionate about music and singing. Music becomes more than sound in a family like this- it's a shared language, a healing ritual, and a bridge across different ways of experiencing the world.
